8,000 btu helps with 2d floor over garage in NE Florida heat. We supplement with a dehumidifier.

We actually purchased our Coleman travel trailer because it had a window a/c unit, instead of an overhead a/c, and we are pleased with that decision.

I bought unit and is mounted about 5 ft 5 up on wall in a 17 ft. Coleman RV. the Louvers don't adjust down and blows the air up or too high. The unit would work better if not put up so high but is not possible to relocate in the RV. Probably should have placed a roof unit in the RV at factory. We currently use a fan below the unit to move the air and have removed the louvers.
