Just an update from my wife's review 6 months ago.... Whirlpool replied to her review to contact them. The person she called was very nice but did not help at all. He simply put my information into our account. I could not believe that the company could not help us. Our local dealer has been fabulous in trying to help us with this oven. We have today replaced the motor board on this second oven. Again, Whirlpool needs to discontinue this oven and offer a different fingerprint resistant stainless unit so those of us with a bad oven have an option.

Whirlpool needs to recall this oven. The same issues are consistant in the reviews. I also purchased a kitchen full of fingerprint resistant stainless steel Whirlpool appliances. In six months I have used this oven less than 10 times. I have had service on it three times. We finally connected it to wi-fi, which did not help. The clock does not keep time and it resets itself to midnight, January 1 every time I use the oven. The screen goes black and the breaker has to be tripped to bring it back. I, too, am going to have to find a different oven, but Whirlpool makes only this 30-inch oven that will match my other applianaces. IMO, a Smart oven was a very dumb idea. $2300 for garbage.

Terrible oven

I purchased this oven in April. The screen went to squiggly lines and blank within a few days and was unusable. The dealer sent repair people out three times. They ended up ordering me a second oven. I went three weeks without an oven and they installed the new one this week. It worked two days and quit. Whirlpool claims they have no issue with this model. I would say these other reviews support my claim. I am going to have to order a different model which means it will be stainless and not match the fingerprint resistant stainless microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator I purchased at the same time. I can't say enough good about my dealer and their repair people. I had no idea these other bad reviews were here with the exact same issues. Whirlpool has been very disappointing in not replacing this oven with a better model.

I purchased this oven back in Dec 2018 along with a cooktop, DW, frig, microwave… The appliances were installed in March, 2019. Had all these negative reviews been posted at the time I was researching appliances, I would never had purchased this model. I have only use the oven 3 or 4 times. Last night, I went to use to oven, the display screen was not functioning. I was unable to contact the Dealer (that I purchased this very, very, very expensive oven from) until the following day. He recommended that I shut down power at the breaker for at least 30 minutes. This did resurrect the display…so, am I now going to have to do this every time I want to use this oven? Absolutely unacceptable!! I don’t know what the future holds for this oven. I plan to document everything until I have a satisfactory solution. Based on the number of negative reviews, I suspect that this is going to be a difficult process. I would recommend to all to stay away from this model. I will update my review when/if I receive a resolution from the local dealer / Whirlpool.

Put in a new kitchen, and all new appliances. Used my oven less than 4 hrs and it already needs to be fixed. Waiting for parts. Hope this is the end of all problems. For the price, it should work seamlessly for years, not break down in the first week.
