No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We use these in our office. In the last year, one had its button break off and the next had arching inside from some metal panel. The older models I have had no issues with. Since they are in our office kitchen apparently they are not covered in the warranty. Do NOT buy. There are much better versions out their for the price.
