It died and surprised it worked this long

My unit required servicing to make it function. Tech had to braze new parts basically undoing what th factory built and altering the unit. Holes had to be drilled and new piping that ran nearly the full length of the outside rear of the fridge. I knew then that Frigidaire was never to be purchased again. Everybody I told about this incident was appalled. Those shown the hobbled repair were aghast and decided on the spot to never buy a Frigidaire product, and rightly so. I am seeking a new fridge and the job is easier since one brand is immediately ignored. And I include all products with the Frigidaire label.

I bought this a month ago and it works very well. It is a refridgerator for my basement and it is great to have to store extra food and drink. I am happy with my purchase.

Frigidaire Warranty Repair Disappoints

I purchased over 500 of these units in 2017 and for the most part they are a solid buy. From time to time units arrive and have factory issues which require repairs. I had 100 units delivered and 2 units had factory issues. One was a bad wiring harness which was replaced. The other unit needed a new compressor, dryer and evaporator. The service tech put in a request to replace the unit because in my experience when a compressor is bad replacing it rarely works and if it does the units life is on borrowed time. Frigidaire denied the request to replace and fixed. Two months later the unit is no longer working and Frigidaire says it is now 30 days out of its 12 month warranty. So they sell you a lemon, fix it just long enough to get past the warranty and then don't stand behind their repair. Well I tried to get Frigidaire to do the right thing and stand behind their repair but they won't. Well I'm getting ready to order another 500 units and have decided I will go with another brand this time around and going forward. It is amazing to me that a company in this day and age would stiff the customer with one lemon which happens from time to time instead of making it right. Their loss and I would recommend going with a different brand!
