LG Appliances 36" - 26.2 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with Exterior Ice and Water

I purchased this fridge 5 years ago and the compressor has already gone out. Now LG is telling me only parts is covered however the labor to repair is just as high as the part. This is so frustrating Not to mention I had to pay someone to come diagnose the problem then LG is saying I have to pay again for one of their techs to come and diagnose the same problem but then I can get the covered part replaced. Never again I dont care how stylish it looks. The ice maker has barely worked since I purchased it. I had a tech come out 5 years ago to look at it and he told me to use a blow dryer to melt the line whenever it freezes up. I should have returned that fridge then. Lesson learned

I know that my LG Side by side Refrigerator is not new Ive had it since I purchased it in 2017. Thats 5 years folks My compressor went out 3 weeks ago and when I called the place where I purchased it they told me that my extended warranty I purchased from them ran out in June of 2021 and they couldnt help me. They suggested that I call LG directly and see if the manufacturer warranty might still be in effect. I called LG and my warranty would have expired this year on 8/1/2022. They authorized the repair person to come out and look at it and they determined that the compressor and the dryer would have to be replaced. They are sending the repair person back out today 8/8/22 with the replacement parts. The LG team came was on top of everything. They were cordial and expedited the process to help me get my refrigerator up and running. Who would have thought this would take place I sure didnt. I am very thankful to the LG team for following through and taking such good care of me. I texted them the documents they needed and thats all it took. I love my refrigerator its large and looks brand new inside and out and this is the first time I have had any issues with it. I will always thank the customer service team at LG for their excellent customer care. This is what really makes LG stand out from their competitors and is what really counts from a customers perspective. I just squeaked by on my warranty and I feel so thankful that I called them.
