LG Appliances 36" - 24.1 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator with Exterior Ice and Water

Brought this approximately 5 years ago. Couldnt find exact date. Called Home Depot and my bank and neither one could find the transaction date. Called LG to have it serviced. Never got a call so I called the service that I was scheduled with and they advised they denied service due to it being an LG and possible compressor issue. I called another service company and they advised since it was an LG they wouldnt service it. Thus I researched LG compressor and apparently there were lawsuits due to faulty compressor seals. I googled and found out how to run the refrigerator through tests and reset it. During the test no light displayed error code. I then tried doing audio test with phone and it couldnt find any faults with compressor or fan etc. My refrigerator would be cold and freezer as well. The meats would be frozen but ice cream was soft. Milk would spoil and our refrigerator meat started spoiling as well. At this point its been a week so I decided to buy new refrigerator. Had to wait another week to get new fridge and the day of installation I finally get a message from a service department who would have repaired our LG. The kicker they left a message saying they would order parts but it would take a week for parts to come in. Then they requested I call them and tell them whats going on. Like how you going to order parts without even sending a service technician to diagnose the issue. Life wasnt Good.

I bought this a month ago but it too several weeks to get the order right through a third party vendor . The fridge is nice but smaller The vegetable tray at bottom is hard to pull out The shelf space on side is smaller than expected . I like the ice and water feature and double freezer but havent figured out how to use it yet . As empty nesters we definitely like the smaller space

LG is the way to go for your appliances. Our Refrigerator purchase was streamless. LG had stock and delivery was also very professional and timeless. Best bang for the buck

Love the appearance styling and many great functions however it stopped making craft ice after just one month. This is apparently a recurring problem and LG should have a fix.

I am happy with our refrigerator although I wish I had purchased one with more freezer space. This is a quality product however and we are pleased with its performance.
