Ice maker sucks!

So I have had this refrigerator for several years. A few months after we purchased we had an issue with the ice maker freezing up and stops making ice. Thinking this was a random occurrence I took the ice maker apart and defrosted. Fine again for a while but again had the same issue. This time I start researching and find out that I am not alone. The issue is a design flaw and many are experiencing the same issue. By the time I called customer service my warranty had just expired. So now I find myself having to defrost the ice maker once a month. If you are old enough to remember freezers before the frost free days that required you to unplug and manually defrost freezers and miss the good old days. I highly recommend this refrigerator. If not STAY FAR AWAY from this fridge. Not a great product!

We got this as a replacement for the same model without the water and ice in the door which failed after 3 years. We love this one!!

Our ice maker quit working, and the door flap stopped closing automatically - however a call for a service repair within warranty and now everything is working perfectly.
