You might think you're getting a great icemaker.....but beware, within 2 yrs mine quit, after the warranty expired. Cost over $500 to repair. Since then have had 2 additional repairs, now the tech just told me today the compressor is bad. I will need a new one, plus labor will be about $750.00. TERRIBLE product for dependability. Love the ice, hate the maintenance----will not buy another one EVER.

we replaced our ice maker with this one and have been completely pleased. the settings for Max Ice versus regular is energy saving, too. the only negative is that it does make a lot of strange noises, but I think that is just the nature of the ice maker beast.
