My old freezer was worn out. I had to crank it up all the way just to keep it below freezing, and I had a good amount of venison in it that I didn't want to lose. I bought this Amana freezer and brought it home, set it up, leveled it, and after letting it sit a while to let it settle, I plugged it in and in about three hours it was 8 below zero F. I put about half of my food in it, waited a couple of hours, and put the rest of my food in it. A couple of hours later it was at 8 below zero again. Setting it up was easy, I'm really happy with this purchase. A great freezer!

I was extremely happy that I could purchase my Amana right here in my own home town. The price was right, delivery and installation was exceptional and it is doing a magnificent job for me! I only have one concern....it is not self-defrosting and it already has a film of frost (especially in one spot by the lid) and I don't know how I will be able to defrost it. I am older and need help. I wish I had an upright, self-defrosting freezer. BUT....my little chest type is just perfect and it performed just when I needed it most. Thank you for your product.
