I am very happy with this freezer. I have done a lot of investigating on which freezer and brand would be the best for my needs and cost wise, and this freezer is perfect.

This is the first Amana appliance we have owned. Small enough to be located in basement, garage or anywhere in the house. Big enough to hold 156 pounds of beef (hind quarter) and plenty of frozen peaches, which we like to freeze each year. Which we did today! The dealer (Cruppers appliance in South Huchinson, Ks.) had the price, which included delivery and set up.(Taxes were additional of course.) Other dealers and big box stores showed a lower price, but delivery was extra and they did not have it in stock like Cruppers. We also had a freezer the basement which we had for 20 years. He agreed to bring it out of the basement and put it in the garage for us. Our son will end up with that one. Hoping to get at least 20 years out of this one which will make me 91, in the prime of life!

We we have lived off-grid for 25 years. Recently we made a decision to upgrade our entire refrigeration system. Our Amana 5.3 cubic foot freezer is so efficient that we hardly see any increased draw-down from our battery storage. After the purchase of 2 hanging aftermarket baskets, the interior space is very organized and easily adjusted. We now have the ability to purchase and store food bargains, make plenty of ice, freeze garden produce, wild fish and game.
