Poor excuse of a dryer

I hoped this would a great dryer for our new high efficient home. We wanted a ventless dryer as a way not to put a hole in our tight home. I have traveled extensively in Europe and the ventless dryer is common, so I thought this would be a slam dunk. We have worked with this unit for over two years having the local service technician out check it out and numerous cleaning and the performance is very poor. Since then the local Whirlpool dealer has retired. I am currently saving to replace it with something else. We average 3 hours plus to dry bath towels. We just dried a load of kids clothes and it took over two hours to dry on the casual setting. We are a family of 4 and the ability to get only 6 loads done max on the weekend is causing issues. I would take any feedback to improve its performance. Maybe you could give me a second one so I can stack them and at least have two dryers to get my laundry done on the weekend only.

Lint Filter System Terrible

Don't buy this dryer. The lint filter system does not work. Link collects past the filters on the screen before the coils and extends the drying time. There is no way to remove this lint. You can vacuum after every drying cycle and it will make no difference. Love the way it drys but will be worthless in less than 6 months.

I’m so disappointed that I have to hang sheets to dry and can’t even get a single sweat shirt dry after hours.

Whirlpool, it is now time to drop excuses & deal.

THIS DRYER DOES NOT FUNCTION AS IT IS DESIGNED TO NOR HOW IT PROMISES TO. This dryer has a two stage lint trap system and yet I am far from alone in experiencing that lint gets into the interior of the dryer stopping it from functioning. Lint that makes its way to the interior parts of a dryer poses a fire risk. I have called my local fire department and they attest to this last statement. I should not need to pay a service provider or take the hours of time it takes to regularly disassemble my entire dryer to clean lint from interior spaces to make my dryer dry clothes. Whirlpool engineers should reassess the lint trap system, improve on it and customers who have purchased this and all similar models should be given a fix to the problem or compensated.
