Wanted to love it but is a big repair headache

I have had my Electrolux dryer for 3 years now. In the first 18 months I had problems and 3 different repair guys out to 'fix' the issue only to have it keep happening. All were covered under warranty but luckily the third repair guy called Electrolux while he was looking at it and asked about know issues and Voila! There was a known issue with the fan that sits below the lint trap....now why wouldn't that have been told to the first two when I described the problem? I had to argue with the rep from electrolux to have it covered under warranty as well because it was over 12 mo since purchase, yet I had 2 prior similar issues with it. Now I'm just about to hit year 3 and my dryer wont start. I think it's just my door switch, but it is ridiculous that I continue to have problems with this machine after 3 years. I really wanted to like this dryer. I had upgraded at the time and I had heard great things about electrolux. But with as many problems as I have had, I would never recommend this dryer.

Dryer stopped working after 2 years

We've been extremely happy with our 517 series washer and dryer, however suddenly our dryer stopped working. It's been just about 2 years since we purchased the product and when my wife hit the pause on a cycle the machine stopped, after adding another item to the load she pressed start again, but it wouldn't run. We unplugged it and let it stay off for a few minutes then turned it back on. It seems like every function is operable, but the time on the display does not change when we select different cycles. I ran the diagnostics and error code E91 came up on display, which is a communications error on the electronic board. I'm extremely disappointed that a 2 year old appliance would fail like this, I just hope this is covered by warranty. Will be in touch with Electrolux to figure this out. So, until further updates, this appliance gets 1 star for poor dependability.

We bought the washer and dryer together and couldn't be happier. They are fast, efficient, and look great.

Great features but not sure about all the settings yet. I always do use delicate on my last dryer but close never seem to get dried with this setting so I have to use the normal. I do like the wrinkle release but I hope things don’t shrink. Still getting used to it.
