The motor went out year 9. Then the whole thing broke year 11. It also did not have a serviceable filter which I think caused it to stink some.

Performance and durability are awful on this unit

We enjoy the flexibility in using our dishwasher. Many parts move for convenience of placing different height and various size dishes and pots. It cleans well and is very quiet.

I bought this 5 years ago. Never again

We researched and researched appliances when building our home in 2015/2016. Every appliance is LG. The dishwasher has become a huge disappointment though. The upper rack is quite literally falling apart I contacted LG initially prior to the warranty expiring but it was at the start of Covid and by the time they were back on the job and I could actually talk to someone the warranty had run out and LG wouldnt honor it. They wouldnt even respond to my correspondence. The top rack is approximately 30-40 rust now and the upright supports are rusted clean through and now are useless. The rust began just 3-4 years after installation. In addition the dishwasher was extremely quiet for the first 6-7 months but has gotten louder and louder ever since. Ive performed the remote diagnostics through the app and the results say everything is functioning properly so I guess we are just stuck with the ungodly noise and whistling. All in all we are quite disappointed with the dishwasher and even more disappointed with LGs poor handling of the warranty issue.
