After 2 years of minimal use, the face frame has 2 very large cracks that go completely through the plastic edge frame. The microwave is in a home on an island, Whirlpool won't sell me a new door directly "for safety reasons" (come on!), and their service center won't service the island... What a load of garbage! Terrible piece of junk china product. I just can't get over what terrible quality this is for a piece of plastic to completely fail after such a short amount of time, with ZERO solutions available from Whirlpool.

This unit was purchased just over three years ago. A few months ago, every once in a while, the unit displayed the Open/Close Door message at which point we would open and close the door and the unit would operate. As time went by it went from being an intermittent problem to being a major hassle and now it just plain will not work........except for the Open/Close Door message. This is very disappointing! All our appliances are whirlpool and enjoy them all but this microwave is the pits.

Purchased Model #: WMH53520CW. Broke while under warranty (machine would not run; message "ck power, open/close door" & was repaired. Worked about one more year, then problem reoccurred. No longer under warranty. Lot to pay for something that worked for such a brief time. Did not have similar problems with the many we opened prior to this one

We did love this microwave, but this week we started getting a close/open door error and the microwave light won't turn on. It works sporadically now. We bought this microwave in June 2017 for a kitchen remodel, but did not have it installed until August of 2018. Barely over a year, and a $350 microwave isn't working. Not acceptable.
