We replaced a white LG over-the-stove microwave with this stainless one. The door cracked on the white one so we looked for a stainless microwave that would not crack. We found and bought this one at Home Depot and we have been very happy with it. The popcorn function pops the popcorn so much fluffier than the old LG. Yes it is the same popcorn So far we are very happy with it. The only drawback is that there is no lighting on the panel so we cannot read the panel unless the kitchen light is on. We cannot read the panel even if the microwave door is open. That is the only drawback that we have encountered so far.
