Works ok. But iffy!

I bought this the first time 3 years ago. It died last year and was barely under warranty. It was replaced, but I’m skeptical as to any better reliability. Couple things you may want to look at. The printed display is too small and barely readable without direct lighting. Turntable is jerky. Otherwise, it’s an ok microwave. Gets the job done, but I’m not crazy about it.

I replaced my old Jenn microwave after the magnetron went bad for the second time in 4 years. Unfortunately the replacement of the same style has lacked some of the previous ones features. For a high end microwave it looks a feels cheap. The stainless steel trim kit that is made of plastic is wavy and shows dimples in the face which doesn’t match the othe jennair appliances I already own. Disappointed, but it does still make popcorn.

We purchased the microwave a month ago because the one we had stopped working. The extended warranty company could not find a repair company said they would give us some money to buy a new microwave. They did not cover the entire cost. It was less than 6 years old and in a built in space above the oven. We had little choice but to get a replacement, same size and same product. We have moved into our new home January of 2013. We chose all Jenn-Aire appliances. So far the dishwasher and microwave have failed. We could not have better incentive to continue purchasing extended warranties.

We love this microwave! Replaced an old Kitchen-aid. Fit in an 18 inch deep custom cabinet. Trim kit looks fantastic!
