My old O'Keefe & Merritt finally bit the dust, and being vintage, it was impossible to find parts and get repairs.Imagine my DELIGHT when I found this Frigidaire cooktop with not only a very familiar and similar layout, but a perfect drop in fit (no cutting necessary)! It is an amazing cooktop, and the entire family fell in love at first site. Now that we've used it, we like it even MORE. GREAT design, easy to clean, and as others have stated, the fast boil and simmer burners are a wonderful addition. Best of all are the sealed grates. Nothing can get in there, so clean up is fantastic. An no pilot lights to worry about!I won't remove a star for it, but like another reviewer, I do wish there was just a bit more space between the burners. It's not a deal-breaker tho. Also, it is a bit of an adjustment to have grates that are a LOT taller than my old O'Keefe & Merritt grates. Again, certainly not a negative - just more of an observation.I'm very pleased, to say the least!

I chose this cooktop because I liked the configuration, it was a Frigidaire like my other appliances, and fit the same space as my 40 year-old one. I love the fact that I no longer need a match to start the burner! The burner covers took some getting used to as they are much higher than my old ones, and I'm still not sure about them. My only issue is the heat of the burners. High is really high - even on the ones that aren't quick boil - and don't seem to go low enough, even on the lowest setting. Overall, I like this cooktop although, like I stated earlier, it has taken some getting used to. It has a unique look which fits perfectly in my kitchen.

I have an older home with narrow counters. This was the only cooktop that would fit into the cut out.
