We required a downdraft cook top because of the configuration of the kitchen. I love the size and versatility. It heats up much more quickly and evenly than our previous cook top. It does attract lint and pet fur, so I always have to clean it before use.

Use this cooktop almost every day. It's very slow to heat. Knobs are unattractive and at this point are imprecise. Haven't figured out how to clean it yet.

HARD TO GET THE HANG OF TEMP. FOR EACH RING. AND CAN'T SEE THE WHITE WORDS,WITHOUT FINDING MY READING GLASSES. DRIVES ME NUTS. CLEANS LIKE A DREAM COMPARED TO MY OLD ELECTRIC W/ PANS. --AND--TO PROTECT THE GLASS EDGES, I HAD TO SPEND ANOTHER $ 210.00 TO GET THE CHROME STRIPS. NOT NICE. IT SHOULD COME WITH IT.

My previous Jenn-Air was a 45", 3 modular units (1 small coil burner, 1 large coil burner, 1 small slow cooking burner, 1 large slow cooking burner, 1 griddle, and 1 grill). After 30 years it was removed from my kitchen and was still totally functional. I look forward to my new Jenn-Air electric cooktop functioning as well. .
