I had a glass cook top that limited me from using heavier metal pots and pans. The glass would crack causing expensive replacement cost and the heat ranges on the elements were limited. Cleaning and maintenance was a hassle too. This Amana cook top was easy to install, looks good, and provides me with great heat ranges, complete versatility with pits and pans, and cleaning is simple. Repairs and maintenance cost is a fraction of what the glass top was. Very happy with this appliance.
